If you haven't followed my YT Channel from the beginning you might have missed some info about my life along the way. No biggie I will fill you in!
My husband and I have one son, a dog, and we own a house in need of LOTS of repairs. We moved to our current state and home when our son was 1month old, into a town where we knew 0 people, and had 0 support. Thankfully our families came to help us unpack but then as always they all had to get back to their own lives and drive many, many, many hours away.
I have to say life as a Mom is totally different than what I thought it would be like. I guess in my vision I always would have a support system of great friends and family to help me out. The place we were living while I was pregnant was GREAT!! I had an amazing support system, even though the closest family members were 7hrs away. So moving into a new state, new town and not having a friend for miles was HAAAARRRRDDD!!
Now 2 1/2 yrs later and it's still hard. Yes, we have friends but one thing you will learn is that if your friends all have family in the area, they really don't know how to sympathize with you. I mean don't get me wrong my friends are great but when all you have are friends you lean on them a lot, but since they don't need to lean on you so much you sometimes get left in the dust while they go off doing other things. Sometimes it's like being in 5th grade and you're jealous cause your best friend has other friends besides you. We have become the orphaned family of this small community, with invitations to friend's family holiday functions so we aren't alone on Easter, etc. Which is great don't get me wrong, just not like the life I envisioned for us as a family.
My family is great, they really are. They live further than my husbands family but they visit a ton. It's amazing how much lighter and better I feel while they are here. I start to think "I could live like this" and then BAM it's Sunday and it's time to say "good bye." That Monday is the "case of the monday's" times 100. My son is a mess cause he misses his grandparents and I am just sad, depressed even, from the realization that it's time to go back to reality. Let's not forget the horrible guilt of not being able to give my son the family time I had as a kid.
My parents just visited for the weekend to help with our current home project. They travel sooo far and we put them to work. But seeing as we do most of the work alone, on the weekends, and it takes FOREVER, we were overjoyed with the help. But all good things must come to an end...
I will spend the next few days trying to think of a way to get us closer to family, only to realize it would have to at least be a 1-2 year plan and well that isn't as fast as TOMORROW! So, I will drink my cup of coffee, eat a big fat chocolate chip (eating my feelings) cookie and start the laundry.
To all you Moms and Dads out there doing it w/ a very small support system, I've got your back! **HUGS**

The Irrational Thoughts of a Loving Mother
My husband and I headed off to Menards this morning to look at flooring while our son went to our neighbor's house. We don't get a lot of help since we don't have any family in the area, so we were pretty excited about being able to really take our time and go over our options. We left Menards after just over an hour with carpeting and hardwood flooring picked out!!! I couldn't help but suggest we get a little treat at Burger King before heading home. Our son loves to ask "can I have a bite" for just about everything we are eating, it was thrilling to eat a bit of junk and not have to worry about being a bad example for food choices.
We weren't home long before it was already nap time. My son sure put up a fight today...well I guess I shouldn't say that. My son is amazing about going to sleep, his way of "fighting it" is a bit of whining and then quietly playing in his bed instead of sleeping. He did eventually sleep and so did the rest of us!!
About 3hrs later I awoke to a very dark, very quiet house! It was past 5pm and everyone was still asleep. My thoughts always lead to "is he still breathing?" I can't help it!!! Becoming a parent has really shown me how scary life can be. Knowing people everyday experience loss doesn't really help. As a young adult you think "it won't happen to me" but as an adult I know very well "it CAN happen to you."
So what did I do? I braved the creaky door and check in on him! Sure we still have a baby monitor plugged in but at times you just can't hear his breathing and I figured I would just go straight to the source. Besides, he had already slept long enough, though I don't believe in waking a child, I wasn't going to worry to much if it did happen.
I'm happy to announce he was quietly sleeping like the little darling snuggle bug that he is!
Am I irrational? Yeah, maybe a little...but maybe that is just want makes me a great mom! Or that's what I like to tell myself. :-)

Naturally Clean...or Confused?
You hear it here, you hear it there, you hear it everywhere, "GO NATURAL!". Well, if it was easy as heading to Walmart, finding the cheapest disinfectant wipes on the shelf and heading off the the checkout counter I think we would all be answering that call with open arms, and so would our bank accounts. But like many things in life "going natural" takes a bit of time, research, and at times money.
Well, don't get discouraged! I'm here to guide you through.
You wouldn't decide to go vegan and start out by throwing out all the food in your house, and then heading to the store. So, don't think you can exchange your current ways for more natural all in one day either.
Make a plan! Sit down and think about your daily life and find one area that you want to focus on making more natural. Research that area and slowly start making a shopping list. Try out a few new things each month until you are pleased with your changes. Once it becomes natural to you and a part of your normal life then it's time to tackle another area in your life (if you so choose).
One common area to "go natural" is in home cleaning. We could all head out and find some stores that offer a line or two of natural cleaning products and be done...but your budget might not like it, and what have your really learned? Instead, head off to the bookstore and look for The Naturally Clean Home by Karyn Siegel-Maier. This book is FULL of recipes for cleaning your home. Almost all of them have repeat ingredients making it very cost efficient. Buy some of the most used items and you can makes almost everything in the book! It's full of great information on Essential Oils and herbs. It's very easy to read and flip through, making it a quick educational read.
From doing your laundry to getting out rust stains, this book will be your beginner "Going Natural" guide.
Please check out my Youtube Channel Caddysw every Tuesday for some great DIY Natural Cleaning Recipes.
Start clipping coupons for Vinegar!
Good luck!

WOWed the husband
The Montagne Jeunesse face masques have been something I have seen for years. Many a time I stopped to look more closely before moving on down the aisle. I guess it's great price had me worried about if it would work. Well clearly I'm the fool in this story!
The product smells amazing and is so quick, not to mention easy to use. A product that suggests only once a week usage and under $2, you can't beat that!
After rinsing it away I was really happy with the results, my skin was baby soft! My husband actually said "oh wow!" He isn't one to care at all for beauty products and probably thinks they are all a waste so for him to be impressed means this product is a winner.
If you read some of my older reviews you will see that I have reviewed all my products from Influenster. But as a brand challenge I wanted wanted to put the spot light on my favorite products, this including. There are a lot of "ok" products out there and I wanted to show of the products that more "awesome."
Thanks for reading. As my VoxBox challenges seem to be coming to an end please keep reading my posts about all sorts of new adventures and rambling thoughts I have.

My My what glossy lips you have!
I love makeup but I hate paying crazy prices only to be disappointed by over hyped expensive products. If you're like me, NYC is a brand you want to take a second look at!!!
After trying out the NYC Liquid Lipshine I know I won't forget to stop by and see what else they have to offer.
With sleek looking packaging you would never guess it is only $2.49. This non sticky gloss adds a great touch of color and shine. The applicator is a tad bendy but it does the job.
I will be checking out the other colors they have to offer! What is your favorite NYC Liquid Lipshine color?

Favorite Product!
Welcome to my first Brand Challenge!! I fell in love with three products during the Influenster VoxBox and the Kiss Nail Dress was my #1 product.
For $6.99 I will be buying these again when I want to trendy, professional look fast! No more rushing around with wet nails before heading to a wedding. I will be popping these babies on within minutes and will be ready to go. No more worrying about messing up your nails while they aren't dry yet.
Even with my very short nails these babies looked great for days! I am currently growing out my nails so I can try them again. Why stop there? Do your toes too. This summer I am going to show off my Nail Dress toes in some cute flip flops!
Everything you need is in the little box, including 28 sheets and a nail file. If you have very short nails you might want a nail scissors but it's not something you have to have, any scissors will do.
I was blown away by this product and can't talk about it enough.
Get them at almost any store/drug store.
I hope you all love them as much as I do!

Chugginton the son stealer
Since my son has been able to open doors we have always kept his door free of childproof locks. We have been told by others to put a knob cover on his side of the door to keep him from getting out but my question is, why would I do that?
I love that my son is able to get up and come out when he feels ready. And maybe I am super lucky cause my son never abuses it, he isn't a morning person either and tend to rest in his bed for a while before getting up.
Also, what if there was a fire and he couldn't get out? Yeah, that scares me!
I have been enjoying watching him learn about this new bit of independence. In my opinion the greatest way to wake up in the morning is to hear his little feet running towards our room so he can come up to me and say "good morning bud." That is until the train set arrived...
My In-laws gave him a Chugginton Train Set for Christmas and it was taken over his attention. He now gets up and runs straight for his train set and starts to set it up. Ok, in all seriousness, good for him! He is doing some great small motor and problem solving work while setting up the track...but I feel so rejected!!!
Well, at least I still get my "good morning bud," that is when I get out of bed and walk down to where he is playing trains. He does stop for a moment to great me and flash his big proud smile.
::heart melted::
Maybe this is preparing me for when he starts dating.

Decor Withdrawal
It's that time of year again, time to take down all your Christmas decorations. I hate this time of year, not because it's a lot of work or anything but because I love how full and well pieced together my living room seems during Christmas. Huh? your saying. Well let me explain...
We have a good sized living room, we also live in a split level and our living room has the birds eye view of the entry which makes it seem ever larger. Rooms like this really need a large focal point that bring you away from the entry space and into the room. My problem is that our whole living room is made up of old free furniture from family...the stuff we have had since college. It's totally NOT cute and doesn't fill the space at all. I have tried and failed to make the room work but no matter what it just always looks badly decorated. The Christmas tree is that tall focal point I am always craving and it takes up a large amount of space. It forces all the other small furniture to be better placed, closer together and just plan nicer looking. Without the tree there always seems to be a corner of nothing, a black whole.
We are remodeling our basement on a tight budget and don't even have furniture for that space yet. Sometimes I just sit around my house and want to scream, when will it ever look nice?????
Ok wow, in terms of starving children I am just being plain silly. But you work hard and save every penny, you want to have a nice home. I'm not wanting much, I'm 27 and I just feel like we are way over due with moving on from college furniture.
If I was blind to interior decorating maybe I wouldn't care so much but I LOVE decorating and making spaces the best they can be. Hopefully I will get used to the Post-Christmas room layout soon.
Ok, silly rant over. Happy Friday!

My full Holiday VoxBox Review
After filming and re-filming my Influenster views I decided I was SICK of it, it was just TOO LONG! So I came running to my trusty new outlet for my thoughts and feelings. I hope you all find this informational and most of all a bit comical. ENJOY!
Kiss Nail Dress
This product stole the show! My first thoughts before trying this product was that I was going to hate it. They reminded me of press on nails that come right off when they get wet. I have VERY short bitten nails and thought I wouldn't even be able to use them. Not to mention the design was not my taste, it's a bit over the top. I love my $2.50 Maybelline nail polish so why would I spend $6.99 on a one time thing, even if it claims to stay on for 10 days?
Well let me tell you, I was so wrong! I went ahead and did one hand with the Nail Dress and painted the other hand a matching color. Yes, that sounds silly but I wanted to really test this thing and doing a full hand was the only way. I plan to use them again when my nails are longer to see if they are better that way. It was super easy to apply even with my short nails, though you might want a nail scissors. Because I had to cut so much off I actually ended up loving the design. I had cut off some of the over the top stuff so what I ended up with was super cute. Or maybe it just looks better on than in the box. I wash my hand a zillions times a day, with a toddler who doesn't? It's now day 4 and they still look great and I haven't had one issue with them!
I will be buying this product again. I have decided it's my new special event nail go to product. When off to a wedding I'm going to use these to look fabulous under $10 and 10mins!
SoleSociety
First reaction.."SWEET I get to buy shoes!" After seeing the website I wasn't so happy. Ok, did I really think I was about to get a free pair of shoes...yes..but can you blame me? Something about all the shoes being the same price tells me to run away from that site. I mean how can they all be the same price? I don't think I could ever buy shoes online and after looking at them a lot I decided I just wasn't about to spend $25+ of my own money to find out. Hopefully a friend will want to try it out otherwise it will expire. Nothing worse than waiting on shipping to get a product, then having to return it, and wait some more. I don't like waiting!! hahaha I just wanted The Princes Bride the other day and this reminds me of one scene. :-)
Montagne Jeunesse
Say what? Jeun-what? mont-huh? Well I have seen these most of my life but never bought one. Under $2? SWEET! I got the chocolate one and it smelled like you could eat it! Using it was so fun, except it hurt a lot where I had a blemish :-(. Rinsing it off just as easy but I had a lot left over even after putting it on my neck. Anyone know if you can store it? Did I say I was cheap and thrifty?
Good product, my skin felt AMAZING! Will def buy in the future!
EBOOST
This product disgusts me! 41,677% of Daily value of Vit B12? WHAT? Consult a doctor if pregnant or considering pregnancy? Nothing yummy about this product. I felt sick during and after drinking it. I gagged and later had a headache. The next day my bowels weren't happy either...ok I'm no doctor, nor can I really say why that happened. BUT I'm not sick, no fever, and it lasted for 1 hr and then I was fine all day. My thoughts are it was TOO MUCH stuff my body didn't need and needed to get rid of. $28 for 20 pouches? Your crazy! EW!
Thanks for reading! I'm done for new with these reviews so look forward to more fun stuff!

Goody Quikstyle Brush
Who wasn't excited to open their box and see a brush? I was excited to try this crazy looking thing. I laughed inside cause my thick hair was going to me a true test to this sucker. And well honestly the fact that you are told to use a hairdryer WITH this products give you all you really need to know. This thing doesn't do much of anything. How much faster can your hair dry when you are already using a hair dryer? Not much, def not with thick hair. It was silly! The brush it self cut through my wet hair nicely and I actually liked it for that reason only. The TINY piece of soft grip was also a waste, it wasn't big enough or well placed. Then of course you need to leave the wet brush out to dry on a counter to get good air flow. Jeez, we have wet towels and dirty clothes to care for after a shower and now a brush?
For $11.99 it's a fine brush but who knows how months of use on the microfiber will result in..ew! I wouldn't buy it for fear of having to pitch it sooner than I'd life. But I'm cheap :-)
NYC Liquid Lipshine
SCORE, free makeup! Ok well not the greatest color win...nude? But who can't use a nude gloss! I'd say this is just another product that is prefect fine. Nothing to get excited about and will quickly be forgotten and be just another gloss to try. To the people on a budget it's only $2.49! Nothing really to complain about except for the weird applicator that just kind of bends around flexes way to easily. If you don't mind glitter stuck to your lips after the color and shine fads away then go for this stuff. Like I said, nothing great but nothing really bad about it either. Pick out a better color and tell me what you think!
Quaker REal Medleys
Free food, again SCORE! Oh wait, almond peach? Couldn't it be chocolate? LOL ok so I just don't like fake looking fruit in stuff, it weird me out. Yes, I know, it's just dried but it just isn't the same when it's not done by a more USDA Organic company. For $1.79 you could have a nice healthy snack. I laugh at the 45sec heat time, more like 2 mins! Then watch out if there is a nut allergy in the room cause it's an almond explosion! Not the best flavor but over all a good product, if you like microwave meals.

Influenster Holiday VoxBox
I recently joined Influenster after watching Youtube Channel Dreamflight6000's video of her receiving her VoxBox. I thought it would be fun to write reviews on things I have used, learn more about products I haven't tried before, and of course I was hoping I would get my own VoxBox someday.
I spent some time reviewing products, answering other members questions, and asking questions myself. I was sooo excited when I got an email saying I might qualify for the Holiday VoxBox!! I took the survey and a few days later I received an email confirming that I would be receiving the Holiday VoxBox!!!
Here is what was inside!
One full package (28) of Kiss Nail Dress
One NYC Liquid Lipshine - in Nude
One Goody QuikStyle Brush- Half-round brush
One Quaker Read Medley Oatmeal- in Peach Almond
One $25 coupon code to SoleSociety
One sample pouch of EBOOST- In Acai Pomegranate
Important note: I am not being paid by Influenster or any of the companies that make the above listed products!! I received them complementary for testing purposes only! It is of my own choosing to vlog, blog, Facebook, or tweet about these products.
A full review of all products will be posted here and on my youtube channel very soon!

The dreaded LIST
You (and by "you" I mean other people besides just me....I hope) eventually lay your head down on your pillow. After, of course you spend most of the evening after your child(ren) go to sleep trying to accomplish as much as humanly possible. So, you finally find yourself in bed, you close your eyes but soon THE LIST starts to form. It's title is "What did I forget to do today/What to do tomorrow."
My husband and I spent New Years Eve in front of the TV on our computers, each trying to finish up things that needed to get done. Before we knew it the ball was dropping but I couldn't stop to go to bed while I was starting to feel like I was getting ahead of my list of things to do. By the time I finally went to bed it was around 2am. I closed my eyes and yet I could feel my brain buzzing. THE LIST!
After a good hour of list making in my head I eventually fell asleep. It's days like this I know I am blessed to have a child that sleeps past 7am. Not going to lie, it took a lot of effort (and some pain) to get my eyes to open this morning when that darling child padded into our room. But I love waking up to that sweet face! A cup of coffee later and here I am. Kind of regretting using my EBOOST sample yesterday, could really use it today.
So, guess how much of last nights LIST I remember???
::sigh::
